Naught

Naught is a hill dwarf soldier who worked for Addikus Windslayer as his sworn protector. He stands just under four heads tall and caries an spear with the hanlde broken in half. He is bald but has a robust beard with braids and bangles.   When Addikus went missing into the Mooncrest, Naught spent months looking for his leader. Legitimate sources saw the Eastking which avoided a referendum but he would dissapear back into the wild. Many believed he was running from leadership and went into hiding as his region crumbled into a lack of structure.   The loyal hill dwarf found his way into the Undead Acres following a tip about where the missing Eastking was last seen but Naught was attacked by the legendary Beast of Dhamthurin. He barely survived and was blinded in the attack.   Naught crawled his way until he found help by the dwarven Clan of Hammerholme on the edge of the Heathlands region.   He was aided back to the Hedgespire where he loyally waited for Addikus to return. Although his sight was gone, he still maintained the armoury, sharpening blades to a razor’s edge.   After the ten years of Arboran falling apart, Naught was the only one still holding out hope when the Eastking Addikus finally returned. It was clear his leader had changed, time spent near the undead of Teadoria affected the aged king.   Addikus was freed of the grip that Maven Grimbind had placed on him but his mind was altered. He sought the Kingfishers when the dragons awoke to try and gain power again.   Addikus was killed by the Shatterbrand at the Destruction of Barakek.   The faction then claimed the Hedgespire and Naught reluctantly works the barracks, still heartbroken that after all that waiting, his friend never truly came home.
