Kami

Kami slumbers half-submerged in the sacred lake at the heart of the Aztekku Jungle, her colossal frame mistaken for an island of moss and roots. Vines drape from her crown like hair, and the emerald glow pulsing through her bark draws pilgrims from every corner of Lu Saka. The Aztekku people worship her as a goddess, believing her breath to be the mist that nourishes the canopy.   In truth, she is one of the eldest Oakenfolk still alive, her thoughts moving slower than centuries. When she stirs, the forest answers—branches bow, rivers shift, and even predators fall silent. Those who have glimpsed her waking describe the sound of her voice as a deep rumble beneath the water, older than the mountains themselves.
