Drakari Cultures

Chatari
Main Article: Chatari
The most populous Drakari ancestry, though only just, the Chatari make up one of the main 3 ethnic groups on Roka. Known as a heavily spiritual people, even among Drakari, Chatari are strong followers of either the Drakari-Ta, the Dead Goddess Nika-Ta, or even both, and follow deeply rooted ancestral traditions. Chatari people are generally well-liked among Drakari, even among the Takri, though they are also known for being hypocritical in their own beliefs and practices.
The typical Chatari is an average-height (For Drakari) figure of thick, heavy fur in colors of white, silver, and red, with pale skin underneath. Chatari eyes are predominantly blue and almond-shaped, set above a relatively long, narrow muzzle. Their hair, covering both their heads and the full length of their tails, is generally wavy or straight and a blonde, red, or brown color. Average-length curved horns of reds, browns, and blacks protrude up and back from their foreheads.

Matari
Main Article: Matari
The second most populous ethnic group on Takri, the Matari are a brown-furred, warm-eyed people well known for their progressiveness and intelligence. They call the Mataga region their home and are the center of the Drakari Union's space exploration efforts. Most of these people follow the belief of the 'Natural Civilization' - A religion that preaches harmony between people, technology, and nature. The Matari people are also known for siding with their Takri descendants in the ongoing civil war.
The typical brown-furred Matari is short in height with short, curved dark red horns and a wide, average length muzzle. They have a full tail and head of wavy and curly, and sometimes even frizzy hair of a light blonde color. Their dark red horns are curved and short and set above a pair of mono lidded yellow eyes.
Kitadori
Main Article: Kitadori
A cultural group known as violent and warmongering, the Kitadori are one of the three most populous ethnicities on planet Roka. Many Kitadori are fiercely loyal to their families and ideals, with a large proportion of them fully supporting the Drakari-Ta and the Union during the Civil War. Kitadori are both feared and respected throughout the Union, but also despised in some regions, such as Mataga, where their ancestors were well-known as bloodthirsty invaders.
Kitadori physical traits often include short physical stature with a wide and elongated muzzle. They have protruding red-orange eyes, light brown fur, and short curved horns of an ivory color, often painted red. The Kitadori are one of the few groups with membranes covering their eyes. Their hair is typically wavy or straight and in colors ranging from light brown to black. Unlike most other Drakari, a Kitadori's tail isn't fully covered in hair - Instead, only a tuft of hair at the end of their tail exists, with the rest being covered in fur.
Sakari
Main Article: Sakari
Ancestral siblings of the Chatari, the Sakari people make up a much smaller subset of the Drakari population than the major 3 cultures. These Kari are most well known for their spiritual and religious beliefs that conflict with the Chatari's dominant following of Nika-Ta. While both the Sakari and Chatari call the continent of Chataki their home, they only just barely live in a peace enforced by the Drakari Union. A peace that is starting to unravel amidst the civil war.
Standing tall and proud, the Sakari are typically covered in dark brown fur. Their eyes are gray and wide-set with a protective membrane covering them, their silver horns short and curved, and their muzzles of average width and length. Their hair, ranging from straight to curly to frizzy, is typically silver or blonde in color, and fully covers their tails.
Nakiri
Main Article: Nakiri
One of the least populous Drakari cultures, the Nakiri people are the descendants of an enslaved race. While slavery was outlawed by Altara Krieus in the First Cycle of the Drakari-Ta several hundred years ago, many Nakiri still face discrimination and the risk of slavery and trafficking - Especially amongst the Takri colonies and, more recently, pirates that operate within Varkesh space. Nakiri are well known for their sailing and star navigational skills and are typically put to work in related fields, while others sometimes find a decent living working as navigators, helmsmen, and pilots.
Nakiri have a rather average appearance - An average height, average muzzle, and silvery and ivory horns of the typical curved appearance, but longer than others. Their fur and hair can range in a variety of blondes, browns, reds, and blacks, while their eyes range from a light hazel to dark amber. Their fur is light in thickness and density, with their pale skin sometimes visible in the darker-furred varieties.
Rohari
Main Article: Rohari
Generally considered a dying race, the Rohari make up the smallest subset of Drakari population. Traditionally, the Rohari people follow an aristocratic system of spiritualists, leading their crumbling nation through ritualistic guidance. However, most of the Rohari people lost their homes in the Rohati region to natural disasters, war, and famine, and are now integrating into other cultures, or trapped in the slums of Rohatino. Most Rohari are looked down on, considered synonymous with thievery and crime, though some of the more elite from the old social classes have made a name for themselves as artists. Most Rohari not living in Rohati can be found in the neighboring Kitado region.
The Rohari are a tall people, with deep-set eyes of dull blues, violets, and grays. Their hair is typically wavy or curly, in blonde or red colors, with their tails resembling their Kitadori cousins - Only the tufted ends have hair, with the rest covered in their silvery-red fur. Unlike other Drakari, the Rohari exhibit sexual dysmorphia in their fur - Males have thick, heavy fur while females have very light fur, with their dark brown skin visible in some cases, especially among the elderly. Their horns, average in length and projecting straight upward, are dark red in color, and their muzzles are typically short, but of average width.
