The Night Visitor
The Night Visitor is a god of nightmares and a granter of dark powers. As a patron of warlocks, he is regarded as a deceiver and corrupter. The Common Church and most other religious organisations deem warlockry 'unnatural,' and condemn the worship of all known patrons.
The Night Visitor has no true clerists. Those who seek his favour can only secure it through a warlock's pact, although a few find some power through a paladin's oath in his name. All who bear his power also bear his mark, usually on their hand, and although they cover this they may make themselves known to each other through a collar or cuff of sable.
- The Chosen are the visitor's warlocks, who serve his purposes in return for their powers.
- The Shadows are paladins who revere the visitor, a strange lot by any standard, seeking the favour of the uncaring Visitor for causes he does not espouse.
