The Laughing Knight
The Laughing Knight is the god of youth, beauty and sport, his weapons all for show and for play. He is the patron of the young, innocent and foolish, but also presides over honour.
Cult of the Laughing Knight
Sometimes called 'dandelions' for their yellow robes, clerists of the Laughing Knight tend to live large and laugh loud, and are typically welcomed everywhere. When they wear ornaments, these are made of lapis lazuli.- Temple: Order of the Wreath - Priests of the Knight preach the value of health and fitness, and the sanctity of all life. While generally attempting to better the lot of all, they can be judgemental of physical limitations. They also conflict with the clerists of the Balm on the subject of assisted suicide.
- Cloister: Order of the Sacred Heart - In stark contrast to the Wreath, the cloistered clerists provide hospices for the long-term injured. While officially isolated from the world, some clerists of the Sacred Heart offer advice to others on providing accessible spaces and facilities.
- Mendicant: Order of the Spring Reel - These hounds are travelling celebrants, with an encyclopaedic knowledge of every standard Church ceremony, assorted local festivals and customs, and especially the so-called 'rites of the young'. If a village needs someone to perform a wedding, lead a dance and referee a football match, the Order of the Spring Reel can provide.
- Martial:
- Order of the Dance - An errant order of itinerant champions, who will take up the mantle of the underdog in anything from a war to a tennis match.
- Order of the Court of Lions - This errant order take it upon themselves to 'encourage' honourable behaviour, especially among the gentry. They are considered a bit of a liability.
