Goblins

The Seconborn of Noc are the Cavernborn goblins. Built along the same lines as Gnomes, they are distinguished by a lack of hair, skin ranging from green or brown to black, and flattened heads with low brows but large brains. Their eyes and ears are even larger than a gnome's, adapted for subterranean life. They breed fast when space allows, but not at all if there are significant population pressures, although the mechanism for this is unknown. The average lifespan of a goblin is around fifty, but some individuals are known to have lived for three centuries; again, it is not know what makes the difference.   Many goblins have abandoned their subterranean roots for the cities of other lineages, often sharing halftown quarters with gnomes and Halflings. Here, they rarely hold positions of great civic authority, but many have done well as academics or artificers, sharing the rock gnomes' traditions of tinkering.
