The First Age - Mystaran Schism
    Civil action

The first Age - Mystaran Schism Like most worlds in the multiverse, Elves, Dwarves, and Humans were created to explore this unknown world. The elves would come to appreciate the natural beauty of the land and enrich it with their culture. Dwarves would use the land and bend it to their will. Humans would come to challenge the longevity of the two prior races with their small lifespans in a distilled passion for life. These prime races would spread across the globe, sometimes to war, sometimes through peace and their civilizations would grow for thousands of years.   The end of what would be the first age of Galadorn marked the destruction of the ancient elven civilization Mystara. The haughty High Elves (Yhelen) would see infighting for generations through their civilization. The Yhelen view structure, beauty, tradition, magic, and the preservation of the natural world as some of the highest principles in their way of life. Others, the Jaalssin, thought the world needed to be tamed further and controlled, often with the force of arms. Fighting broke out and both sides would come to harness the magic of the world and make their first attempts at employing the help of the divine powers that watched over it. In the end, the Jaalssin would be defeated and were forced east across the continent through lands dominated by humans.   The Jaalssin would fight on multiple fronts and would eventually be driven to the eastern coasts. Few higher powers took pity on their plight and for their failure even the strongest clerics would be shunned from touching divine magic. It was in this dire moment that one divine power took great interest and decided to touch the world forever sealing the fate of the Jaalssin. Lolth would take these broken Jaalssin and spirit them away to the eastern continent. She worked her corrupting magic upon these elves, who sought her divine power, and darkened their skin and malformed their hearts. In her experimental haste a number of these Dark Elves would be malformed further. They were more beastly and brutish and would be called Orc and further still, Goblin.   Jaalssindyn would be the new empire across the ocean to the east. Unlike most of their brethren in the multiverse they were not cast to the Underdark, however, they are still marked by their dark skin and are forever blinded in bright light as a reminder of their betrayal. Dark Elves, human allies, Orc, and Goblin would fight and rage across the new frontier, separated only by vast freshwater lakes. A race of Dragon-kin would inadvertently keep the peace. Their wisdom, compassion, and discipline would give the other races a calmer outlook through the ages. Their lands known as Soz’lur’Thian still hold to their ancient traditions. They are the fathers and mothers of the martial arts.   The western continent would see the Yhelen consolidate into Yhelenyarith, Dwarves would maintain the nation of Kaldoun and would fight amongst the giants of Sholuch. Human society would ever mingle with all other races but the war that raged across the southeast taught them that they too could contain magic and use it to create ill gotten wonders. The widespread use of magic would herald a new age of enlightenment but would also pull upon the most ancient and magical of this world, Dragons.

    Great Dragon Calamity
    Celestial / Cosmic

The Second Age - The Great Dragon Calamity Ancient magics are being unearthed from civilizations of old. The dwarves of Old Kaldun are fighting amongst themselves over ancient traditions and progress toward technologies and magic. The great elven nation of Yhelenyarith has consolidated its borders to tentatively work with the great dwarven and human nations on the western continent. Learning from their battles with the Jaalssin, a great nation of human families is forming, with the ideas of pure marriage lines and divine rites of rule. This new Vladian Empire will grow to engulf most of the southern regions in an attempt to tame and control. Galadorn has settled in this age of peace but also falling to complacency paired with the lust of ever growing knowledge.   Over this great period dragons were a common sight. Some would come to be benevolent in their aid to certain nations while others would give in to their most base nature and seek to control, hord, or destroy. Organizations would rise and fall to make peace or to simply survive the ire of the most selfish of their kind. One thing was undeniable, magical innovation surged during their presence and this swell in power was felt in all aspects of life.   The massive mountain range, known as the Mystaran Mountains, would see great spikes in magical energy. Over the course of this era dragons of all types would often be drawn or pulled to this vast region. Every three to five years the Mystaran Mountains would light with prismatic energy, often engulfing the night sky. This short period, when it would occur, was called Divos en le Terra or Magic on the Mountain, which would ignite the region with heightened magical energy for nearly ten days. Festivals would be held often drawing the attention of regions across the globe.   It was during an incredibly rare instance in the years leading to when the moons Yoladus and Norilia began to draw closer in their orbit, nearing a total lunar eclipse, Divos en le Terra became something else. Dragons were called, or rather forced, to the range against their will this time and unlike all other times before, massive earthquakes and terrible disruptions were encountered.   Toward the end of the calamity the Mystaran mountains would rise to the heavens. Nations of the western continent banded together in an effort to stop the destruction that was taking place even though vast regions were plagued by frenzied dragons and other arcane anomalies. With the combined effort of the northern nations and a group of renowned heroes, the elevated Mystaran Mountain suddenly and violently ceased to exist. Waves of arcane force swept through the region and dampened magic, vast geographical regions would be forever altered and would be in a state of disorder and repair for generations and brought an end to the second age.
