Temporary Psionic Psychosis

Temporary Psionic Psychosis, commonly known as {street name}, is the psionic, mental and physical effects caused by the consumption of Avalash.   While commonly viewed as merely experiencing a vast mixture of various sensations, Temporary Psionic Psychosis actually projects the events of past psionically gifted individuals into the senses of the person currently under the effect, allowing them to relive, if rather awkwardly, pieces of the past connected to the area they are currently in. As more events occur in the same area, it becomes more and more difficult to perceive individual events, causing the mixture of sensations that it is commonly associated with.   Temporary Psionic Psychosis typically begins within five to ten minutes of inhaling the pollen of the Avalash plant and can last for up to an hour. Further consumption can extend the duration, with the risk of long term negative health effects increasing as a result. Risk factors   Management of Temporary Psionic Psychosis generally involves supportive care such as directing the person into a safer position to experience the effects and taking steps to reduce lasting psychological from experiences. Dilution of the active chemicals can also be done via drinking regular fluids or washing one's mouth out, although care must be taken to avoid choking and drowning the individual.

Temporary Psionic Psychosis is a risk factor for many forms of injury, mental disorders and sexual assault due to the altered state of consciousness, the retention of full mobility in the vast majority of scenarios, and being unable to differentiate between reality and the past.

Laws regarding the use of Avalash and the resulting Temporary Psionic Psychosis differ depending on location. In general however, it is permissible to be under the effects while within a private dwelling or a commercial premises or a religious site that permits such.   Being under the effects of Temporary Psionic Psychosis in public spaces is considered a crime for the safety of both the user and others. The operation of any equipment with sufficient complexity to require beyond surface-level focus is also considered illegal.   The Altered Mental State Defence is generally not permissible for actions undertaken during Temporary Psionic Psychosis, unless the usage was forced upon the individual, rather than it being voluntary.
