Wizard Santa knows when you’ve been sleeping and he knows when you’re awake, thanks to his unnaturally powerful connection to the Daidrin Gaioforce. But more importantly he uses this ability to spy on the entire world, using slave labor to screen the constant influx of information through his network. They are instructed to search for major events in one’s life, then submit their story to Santa for judgement. If he deems the information unworthy of judgement, the slave is punished. If it is worth judgement, he will determine whether the actions taken by the individual puts them on his naughty or nice list, contained within his magical spellbook. Children on the nice list are given toys for Christmas (holiday that occurs once a year) by Santa himself, who teleports to every house in the world with his powers. Adults on the nice list are left alone. However, children & adults on the naughty list are snatched up from their homes by Wizard Santa and tossed into his Soul Sack, then ride in the sleigh until they arrive at the workshop. Some adults do escape, but the naughty list lasts for life. Once they are processed at Santa’s Workshop, they are magically crossed off the list. Children and adults on the nice list stay there until they die or are moved to the naughty list.
From there, they are sorted. Adults and older children are sold directly to human trafficking rings across the world, while the children are kept as slave labor and trained to make the toys. The same toys that children on the nice list receive, as a way to rub it in. The children are trained for factory, stable & custodial/maintenance work by the Frost Gnomes. Frost Gnomes are a subrace once native to the [land masses] between Dalterra & Cyregnor, whom Wizard Santa captured early on. Nowadays they are born into servitude to Santa, who emphasizes they will die in it too. While most Frost Gnomes go their whole lives as low-level workers or low-level leadership positions, a few rise to the “upper class” of Santa’s Workshop. They serve as Wizard Santa’s officers, administrators, and a rare few advisors. The Frost Gnomes, often mistaken for elves by the common world, exist in an ironic Stockholm Syndrome situation, where Wizard Santa has tormented them into submission as his slaves, then has them do most of the enforcement of slavery on their own people under them. Some of these gnomes seem regretful of this position and try to make conditions better, but others embrace the power and do as much as they can to suit themselves, regardless of whether it helps or hurts their fellow gnomes.
Once the kidnapped children turn their respective adult ages, they are taken before Wizard Santa for judgement. Wizard Santa looks into the slave’s past & their soul, determining whether they are still naughty, or whether they have become nice. If they are deemed to be naughty, they are sold into the slave trade at a high price, given the large investment of enslaving them for their childhoods. If they are deemed to be nice, Wizard Santa puts them on the nice list and frees them from servitude. They are sent back to their home or another place of their choice, with all their memories & skills intact. However, the magic that binds their name into the book holds a specific curse, which they are warned about before freedom; if the former slave ever mentions what happened to them in detail to anyone, they are put on the naughty list and will be hunted by the St. Knights. These soldiers are an elite hit squad made up of former slaves, the lucky few that were so loyal to Santa and effective slaves, he offered them a way to serve him for the rest of their lives. The St. Knights are trained to ride reindeer mounts, fight, & scour the world for traitors to Santa. They are also used as a military force whenever Santa’s Workshop must be defended. Traitors are either executed by the St. Knights or captured. The captured are either imprisoned on the
Isle of Smiles or taken back to Santa’s Workshop, where they are tortured mercilessly and kept alive until the next Christmas, when they are finally executed via live feeding to the reindeer.
Wizard Santa needs to be stopped at al costs. From what the historical records help us conclude, Wizard Santa is a mantle that is passed down individual to individual, so the idea is effectively immortal unless we kill him and dismantle his operation. Wizard Santa himself is a powerful Daidrin wizard, who often rides his sleigh with 9 vicious reindeer into battle. He should not be underestimated nor expected to hold back, especially if his operation is threatened.
The thought transmissions are summarized/paraphrased for clarity. They end here, as the investigating party was shortly discovered and mauled by the St. Knights’ Reindeer Unit.
