Banatar

1. The city-state is surrounded by an antimatter sandstone wall, denser than any naturally occurring instances of it. Battlements & antimatter cannons line the tops of the wall, along with magitech sandstorm turbines. These turbines generate auxiliary power for the city (the Rouzhai Gaiostone being the primary source of power) while magically drawing harsh sandstorm winds away from the inner populace. This creates a small pocket of clear skies above the city-state, giving the primarily Sun Elf population full access to their ancestral source of energy.   2. Since the Sun Elf Genocide, Banatar became the primary destination for Sun Elf refugees across Dalterra. As the city-state was founded by Sun Elf refugees, immigration preference was given to Sun Elves while being incredibly apprehensive towards other races, even Elven subraces.   3. Banatar has a strong mage & warrior culture. Gaioforce-users with a stronger martial focus train most of their lives to become soldiers in the Banatar Guard. Gaioforce-users with a stronger mental focus train to become powerful sorcerers. Non Gaioforce-users are treated as second-class citizens in this “utopia”, as are non-Sun Elves/impure-Sun Elves. Arcane magic users are welcomed in the intellectual community, though oftentimes with prejudice. Due to the Gaioforce nature of the city, non-Gaioforce sorcerers generally aren’t welcomed or are killed off in rivalries against their Gaioforce counterparts.
