Therianthropy
Therianthropy is the ability for a humanoid to turn into a particular beast, and usually a beast humanoid hybrid as well. This ability can be voluntary or involuntary, and different persons afflicted with it have different degrees of control. It is usually reffered to as a curse, though this linguistic tradition is mostly linked to the best known and widest spread form of therianthropy - seleni-lycanthropy, which causes someone afflicted to turn into a wolf, or wolf man hybrid, during particular phases of the lunar cycle.
Some forms of therianthropy are contagious, others the result of a specific curse, or magical training, or even just a quirk of birth. Note that this condition excludes non-humanoids with the ability to transform, as well as fey that may have a human but are not.
Below is a list of more specific forms of Therianthropy.

Transmission & Vectors
There are a variety of ways that Therianthropy can spread, but most commonly it is a bite from a similarly effected creature, or a magical curse.
Affected Groups
Just about any humanoid can become an therianthrope, but it is most common in Humans. Typically more common in rural communities, where exposure to fey, nature and wild magic is higher, and those that have control or have trained to gain the ability to transform often reside there as well. Nearly all druids have some ability to transform, and welcome take other sorts of Therianthrope that have been driven out of town into their fold.
