The Gaiaren continent booms into existence within the World of Locrea. Immdiately, those nations with the most influence send parties of explorers to the new land, and to scout out areas for settlements for national expansion. Much to the surprise of the Locreans, humans already existed on Gaiaren, and had formed many individual towns, though none were connected and their concept of their own existence only extended as far as "I've always been here, this is our land."

Gaiaren and Locrea exist side by side, Gaiaren the younger of the two continents. They were never intended to be one realm however, and while early civilizations were beginning their rule over the lands, Gaiaren was beginning to leech power off of the stagnating Locrea. Eventually, Locrea's growth stagnated altogether, violently ripping its reality into a void of oblivion, leaving only scars behind where it had once existed. From the continent of Gaiaren's perspective, an entire seperate continent just across the ocean was suddenly and inexplicably gone without a trace. Many feared the end times, and all were at a loss as to what had happened. During this period, the Kinav Wars were in full swing, the growing power of Calphus still yet to reach a level of power that could match that of the Locrean empire. The disappearance of their home continent was a devastating, and ultimately fatal blow to the Kinav Offensive. Calphus's brilliant military commanders would not miss their opportunity to strike during the confusion and dismay, and severed the head of the Locrean snake that had been infesting their lands, throwing the Kinav forces into complete disarray, and ultimately ending the wars.

Construction beginning/endCalphus is claimed by a consortium of the most powerful leaders Gaiaren has offer. They defend against the attacks from the Locrean armies due in large part to the distance said armies must cross to reach them, and eventually succeed in harnessing Gaiaren's leylines to augment their power, thus equaling the industrialized-ether might that Locrea has to offer.

Military actionThe leadership of Calphus rallies all who would see Gaiaren become a free nation to its cause. The Kinav Empire has emerged as the primary opponent to such a cause, though other Locrean entities still exist on the continent. Wars between Calphus' disorganized military and Locrea's various forces continues for almost a millenia.

The Locrean Fallback
Political eventThough the two sides of the war for Gaiaren's independence still remained deadlocked, Locrean forces suddenly, inexplicably, decided to halt all offensives and retreat inside of their own fortifications, and many all the way back to Locrea. Calphus' leadership was quick to capitalize on their fallback, establishing new territories, expanding resource gathering techiques, and fast-tracking research projects into Gaiaren's leylines to further increase their power.

The Kinav Offensive
Military actionAll other Locrean political entities have seemingly vanished from Gaiaren's mainland, and have been absorbed by a new, extremely aggressive Kinav empire. Their soldiers fight with reckless abandon, almost desperation. The Kinav empire appears to have a singular, combined purpose now, of once and for all wiping out all other human life on Gaiaren except their own. Kinav's primary leadership no longer speaks openly to the people of Gaiaren in hopes of winning some of their loyalty, their armies simply march, and charge. The Kinav wars have never been more brutal, and the casualties are staggeringly high, drastically higher than the last wars. THis is the bloodiest era in Gaiaren's history.
