Great Arkane Tower

The Great Arkane Tower was a massive structure built by the Thunderstorm Empire in the year 5443, in anticipation of a potential threat from the necros. The tower was powered by arkane energy, drawn directly from the veins of arkane that flowed beneath the surface of the planet. It was designed to be a one-time use weapon, capable of unleashing a devastating attack on the necros if they ever posed a threat to the eastern continent again.   The tower was located in the heart of the Arkane City, a metropolis built specifically to house and power the Great Arkane Tower. The city was a marvel of engineering, with towering spires and gleaming walls of polished marble. It was a beacon of hope for the people of the eastern continent, a symbol of their power and determination to defend their lands against the necros.   However, the Great Arkane Tower was never intended to be used. It was a last resort, a desperate measure to be taken only if all other options had failed. And so it remained, a dormant weapon, until the year 5320, when the necros were on the verge of transforming themselves into immortal beings.   In a moment of desperation, the Thunderstorm Empire activated the Great Arkane Tower, unleashing a devastating ray of arkane energy on the necros continent. The attack was devastating, destroying entire cities and devastating the landscape. The necros were caught off guard, and many of them were killed in the initial blast.   But the Great Arkane Tower was not without its consequences. The arkane energy used to power the weapon was unstable, and it caused massive magical anomalies to occur across the western continent. The air itself became toxic to many species, making it difficult to breathe on the necros continent. And the Dragon of Nightmares, one of the 12 Ancient immortal Dragons, was gravely wounded in the attack and has not recovered to this day.   Despite the destruction caused by the Great Arkane Tower, it was ultimately successful in stopping the necros from becoming immortal. But the damage caused by the Great Arkane Tower was severe.
