Yuan-Ti
Yuan-Ti are a race of serpentine people with some innate magical abilities and resistant to poison. They tend to view the world objectively. This can either be with a sense of cold and detached logic or with the wisdom to see the world as it is, both the positive and negatives and act and react accordingly.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Yuan-ti have serpentine characteristics that develop uniquely based on lineage, some are nearly indistinguishable from humans, and others look closer to lizardfolk. Most common characteristics are scales on the more exposed extremities, Wide flat mouths with thin lips and long retractable fangs, and slanted pupils that react quickly to changing light levels with a set of clear secondary eyelids.
Growth Rate & Stages
Yuan-Ti reach adulthood very quickly, adolescence usually only lasts until the age of 7 or 8 at which point they have fully developed minds and motor function, spending most of their lives as adults.
Biological Cycle
Yuan-Ti in unusually cold climates may spend some extended periods hibernating, until warmer weather returns.

Yuan-Ti like many races on Gaia can see out to 60ft in darkness.

History
Like most modern races Yuan-Ti emerged around the year 4250 and have sense followed in the footsteps of their Garoth ancestors.
