Seyrin

Capital of the Eastern province of Nafor. Largest of the trinity, and deeply devout to the arts. Leadership of Seyrin is handled by 2 groups, the first is the Judges, a group of individuals who enforce the laws to protect order and the people of Seyrin and the eastern province as a whole, and the Viceroy an elected official that handles the civil side of the government for the province.   Seyrin is famous across Nafor for its deep love of the arts, and many travel from across all over Nafor to learn from its colleges as well as to become famous bards. While Music is paramount in Seyrin, no form of artistry is too niche or obscure, Dance and story telling is almost equally as renowned, and Sculpture and painting are universally loved.   Known for its many open theaters and large public parks where any and all are encouraged to share their art publicly. Seyrin is a wealthy city. However those less skilled in the arts might find struggle and strife trying to keep up in such an artistic place. Many jobs are given to those able to perform the best, though there is rarely a shortage of menial labor for those of unskilled hands.

Government

At the top is the Viscount, civil leader of Seyrin, and the Judges, the legal arm of Seyrin.

Defences

There is a standing army and a capable navy but even in war times the city of Seyrin and most of the Eastern Province stays out of all but the most dire and desperate conflicts

Industry & Trade

Much of the industry in Seyrin come from its many cultural exports and the fact that it has surprisingly few material ones given its size and population. Entirely focused on art, value is derived from its use in creating or in its emotional evocation.

Districts

Seyrin is split into 4 districts, There is the docks, The educational district, The Public Arts district, and the markets.   Each of the 4 districts are split into smaller districts based on wealth and political and public renown.

Assets

A large and wealthy city with bustling markets and huge support both internally through guilds and wealthy citizens and externally from the other provinces

Guilds and Factions

Most forms of art have at least one official guild, and several, legal but not sanctioned guilds. These make up the primary form of infrastructure in Seyrin.

History

Erected to be the capital and seat of power for the Eastern province at the same time as the Western and Northern Capitals. Originally meant to be a port for trade due to its connection with the sea, over the generations the influx of culture and art from across the lands influenced Seyrin to be what it is today.

Points of interest

The Dockside Stage, one of the most prolific public stages outside of the Public Arts district. Originally a small tavern its been rebuilt a number of times to accommodate larger crowds and more prolific artists.   The Trinity Concert Hall, a relatively small stage in one of the larger parks in the Public Arts district. Known for being the first place current Viscount, Aurelius performed, There is now a large carving of obsidian and jet before the entrance where hopefuls leave a copper for luck.

Tourism

People from all over travel and vacation to Seyrin at all times of the year to experience the arts and beauty on display.

Architecture

Architecture is one of the more popular forms of art in Seyrin and many Architects have gone above and beyond. Most of the buildings in an area will be built to match an aesthetic choice from one of many master architects that have designed their masterpiece, these masterpiece buildings are highly sought after as they are clearly the focal points of the area.
