Lady Aera
One of the oldest of the immortals, born over 1000 years ago, she lives on an isolated island named The Eye of Gaia. She rules The Eye of Gaia uncontested, facing all challengers in single combat.
Aera built The Eye of Gaia as a refugee camp for those of the world that were forsaken, however one finds themselves upon her shores, she takes them in without judgement. All of the people of The Eye of Gaia are equals, even Aera. Criminals are dealt with swiftly and harshly with either death or banishment through the gate.
Aera built The Eye of Gaia with her own hands, carving the stones of the city from the very mountains, growing the fields herself by hand, and fighting off any and all manner of opposition. she lived alone for 600 years in self imposed isolation, and as the years grew so did her home, eventually it became too large to live there on her own. She sought out criminals and vagrants and those with no where else to go and brought them back to her island.
in the generations that have passed, few have left the island to spread word of Aera and stories of her love and generosity and forgiveness have been shared and she is cherished and idolized by many people down on their luck.
