Benata's Birth
While the world as we know it was still being sculpted by Estanathlei, Thres and Greneshka were building their own homestead among the astral planes. Thres wished to craft something for Eshka and set to work firing up the forge.
The Forge was carved into the mountainside of Mount Celestia, naturally, after a milenia of using the natural lava flow to properly heat the metal work.
Thres was working hard and crafting armor for his wife when he heard distinct cracking and pops of fire. When he turned back to the fire to see what was amis, there nestled in the cooling lava was a glorious Dragon egg. The first to be found within the mountain. As Thres went to inspect the egg there was another crack that appeared in the shell.
In a hurry, he yelled for Greneshka to come to him, as he worked to get the lava properly fired again with the bellows. As his wife rushed in, she saw the lava burst forth with flames and it engulfed the Dragon egg, and seared Thres, singing his hair. She rushed to him, and as she asked if he was alright, the egg burst open with a loud 'Crack!'
After the smoke had settled, they were able to peer into the egg shell. Laying curled upon herself was Benata the dragon. Her tiny horns poked back from her forehead, with ridges and spiked all down her spine. Her magnificent wings looked much more like a plucked chickens' than the scale covered ones we know. Her tail seemed to have spikes on the end of it in all directions.
As Greneshka went to pick up the dragon, her eyes opened, and Benata saw her parents for the first time. Thres and Greneshka were overcome with many different emotions, the strongest of them being awe as before their eyes the little dragon looked at them with inteligent eyes and started to transform. She took on the shape of the two strangers in front of her, foregoing her scales, wings and tail, and then there was a dwarven toddler sitting in an egg looking up to them.
From that moment on, Thres and Greneshka have cared for her, named her, and raised the girl-dragon. As time went on, she mastered her ability to shift into other forms, including that of other dragons from having seen them in the multiverse. She was inspired by what she saw in the different universes, and wanted to take an active roll as a Goddess in her own right. She couldn't wait for Auntie Esta to finish crafting Gaia, so that she too could explore the world.
