Dark Wolves
The Dark Wolves are an embodiment of pride. They have denounced the power of magic, claiming that their strength is enough and that "magic is for the weak". Because of this, their armor is generally more heavy, made of magic-reductive metal. This acts always to their benefit, as without magic they need not worry about the metal's destruction of magical power and capacity.
This pride has worked against them. When Galahad was under siege in 1973 ID, The Dark wolves believed there to be ample forces for them to send to Galahad to reinforce the troops, yet neither of the two leaders of the regiment were actually able to do anything. In truth, both halves of the group were fully occupied keeping regiment upon regiment of Ishmael troops from overtaking either Alak-bazaar or Lu's domain. When news reached the commanders that Galahad fell, they blamed each other for not sending troops. Pirde intervened, as neither was able to think that the Dark Wolves could be fully occupied or losing, so they just got mad at each other.
Two groups formed, each pushing the blame on one of the commanders, and the war began. In the years since, many of the soldiers have aged, and now another generation of soldiers raised in families that hate the other side of the Dark Wolves more than they hate Ishmael, the one that killed the 13th regiment and kept their freedom hostage.

History
The Dark Wolves formed after the creation of a new technology: Magic inhibitors. They looked like black leather collars, hence the name wolves. Most of Lu's military started alienating the people who used them. Their rejection of magic was seen as absurd by a military force fine with using whatever methods needed to win.
The alienated men formed a group together and called it the Dark Wolves. They were separate from the main forces of Lu's regiments, and specialized in surgical strikes and stealth.
Magic is for the weak. We are not weak.
