However it's culture is spreading to other friendly nations. The Celebration of Life and Family is sacred to most people who call Abraqas home.
Structure
Abraqus is ruled by a divinely sanctioned monarch, advised by a High Synod of religious and noble figures. The king or queen is seen as the Living Flame of the Faith, a chosen of the patron god of light, justice, and order.
A religious synod composed of high-ranking clergy and divine scholars from across the cities and rural territories of Abraqas. They are interpreters of prophecy, guardians of relics, and the voice of their patron god's will on Gaia. They have noble houses that serve the monarchy and have been ancestrally in charge of certain functions within the country.
House El-Raydos is the current ruling monarch royal house. A family of traditionalists and deeply religious family, the church has entrusted the house to lead Abraqas into the future keeping the Divine Light true to their hearts.
Culture
The culture of this nation is often similar to that of the Iberian Peninsula on Earth. There is a mix of minor cultures that all combined into what is seen on Gaia as Abraqan, or Acretian. They are a spiritual people, that believe they were chosen to claim this as their land and their sanctum, establishing the Church of the Divine Light. Which would become their ruling caste in honest.
The people are very tolerant of outsiders however they do expect beliefs to be respected and possibly observed. All in all, respect is what is expected above all else, and if this respect is granted, then the persons shall be permitted to remain as guests and possibly residents of Abraqas.
Their stance on beastfolk is tolerant, yet uneasy. They had warred with Sassliss in the past, ancient enemies. Isarians and are not trusted and often cast out in fears of subterfuge and unrest. However there have been cases of Domingo seeking asylum, and secretly taken in. Wildkin are seen as a similar case, however they are more tolerated, as they contribute to their society and economy.
History
The History of the Abraqan people can be dated back to the River tribes of Acretia. Two native people had found homes on each of the two rivers in their land, the Great Ley River, and the Loveland Flow. The cultures had combined once they grew and had expanded out to the coast, where they had established port cities to the rest of Gaia. Along the way there, they had discovered that their rolling hills would be perfect for vineyard fruits, mostly grapes for wines.
As they all grew they found that more and more of the land was good for settling down with fertile lands, and had established farms, ranches, and wineries along the way to the coast. These establishments only grew larger and made global renown due to how greatly they were grown and cared for. They claimed this land was chosen by their god of light and has blessed them to establish in the lands further.
As time went on, Abraqas had modernized and became part of the world once trade was established. More people came, their population exploded and they had attracted foreigners and foreign investments into their industry. Years of this prosperity, had grown them into an emerging world power. It is speculated they will become one within the next century.
