Public Agenda

The Wings of the Phoenix live to protect the loyal citizens of the Travenhall Empire from the Titanic Beasts and the terrors of the Great Beyond. When a pagan cult is discovered, it is the duty of the Wings of the Phoenix to eradicate them. They rarely ever take part in inter regional conflicts unless one side has pagan ties.

Assets

The Knights are mostly fully equipped with full plate armor, weapons of their choice, war horses, and whatever other resources are needed to deal with the threat at hand. Their assets are funded mainly by the taxes collected from the region they are protecting; therefore, a larger wealthier region with higher tax revenues will be able to afford much more heavily armed Phoenix Knights and many more of them while smaller poorer regions must cope with lesser forces that may not be fully equipped to handle the problem at hand.

History

In the year 2 BC, an alliance was made between Ranon, still just a mortal mercenary commander of the Band of the Phoenix at the time, and another mercenary group known as the Wings of Freedom. Sovereign Ringavere Collin funded the merging of these mercenary bands by having a keep built for them to stock their soldiers and protect the empire. Thus the original Wings of the Phoenix were born. From their powerful castle in southern Solemn, they played a massive role in the Travenhall Civil War. They were directly responsible for the liberation of many kingdoms from Eshan Raun control and for spear heading the assault on Falia during the climax of the Cataclysm.
After ascending to godhood and becoming the undisputed ruler of Travenhall, Ranon grew the organization into a nationwide knight order that worked alongside the fairly new Church of the Phoenix Flame. For the past few decades, the Wings of the Phoenix have grown from a force of approximately 200 self funded soldiers for hire to an order of knights numbering in the tens of thousands across the empire.
