Charles' Institute of Archaeology
Our Purpose
At Charles' Institute of Archaeology, we believe in only recovering the most legitimate of ancient artefacts! We are dedicated to preserving ancient culture and history while borrowing their most valuable relics for auctioning to private appreciators of culture. We also strive to educate the best and brightest of our generation to forge a glorious future of archaeology, providing equal education to all who can pay us handsomely. This is why we have created our school's motto of "Finders, Keepers," perfectly embodying our purpose, our actions, and our deepest beliefs in finding and preserving ancient artefacts.
Faculty
Charles
Hello friends! I am Charles William Liverpool Adamson, but you friends can just call me Charles! I am the humble, down-to-earth, smart headmaster of Charles' Institute of Archaeology. You friends may have noticed multiple statues of my likeness scattered across the campus, and I assure you that they were erected by willing members of our staff and faculty. I will happily guide you friends across the riveting world of ancient, primitive civilizations.
Azzitan
I am Azzitan, the Professor of History at Charles' Institute of Archaeology. Help me guide you through Aarde's ancient races and history. Help me teach you the proper reverence for these cultures that... others... lack. Help me help you escape the confines of this world, and ascend to a new plane of understanding. Please help me deal with the greatest issues of Aarde with our knowledge of the past. Please, help me, I beg you.
Charlie
Hello, I'm the one and only Charlie. I know what you're thinking: I'm Charles' twin brother, but noo, you are in-cor-ect. I'm actually his nephew and Head of Archeological Fieldwork, nepotism at its finest. Now, I know that my uncle Charles thinks he runs this whole operation, which he technically does, but I'm the one who's getting dirty out here. You don't see ol' Charles running from 15-thousand magical traps being set off simultaneously. But I'll be out there, running from the same native tribes you are.
Curriculum
At Charles' Institute of Archaeology, we help you expand your knowledge on a vast array of topics, helping you achieve your full potential in our wonderful world. Our main curriculum is split into four critical sections for your educational experience, specially curated by the best experts in Whitemouth.
Hands-on Experience: We believe that the best way to help both students and faculty here at Charles' Institute of Archaeology is to provide hands-on experience with archaeology. After all, the best way to learn is to do, and your fieldwork helps us preserve ancient artefacts.
Economics of Archaeology: Nothing in our world can be done without a constant supply of Munt, including critical archaeological work... Thus, a core portion of our curriculum is dedicated to helping our students manage the finances of their expeditions, and of their personal accounts.
Languages of Aarde: Due to the intercultural nature of archaeology, we help our students understand the languages of foreign and ancient peoples. Because Aarde has created hundreds, if not thousands, of languages over millennia, we teach methods of breaking down words into stems and using context clues to help garner the intention... if not exact meaning... of writing and speech.
Peoples and Cultural Influences: Finally, we help our students understand who people are and how they developed, because what is archaeology but learning more about the people who came before us? Many do not hold the proper... reverence for people and their culture, so it is our duty to help them understand what made these people who they are, and perhaps show a modicum of respect.
Archaeological Fieldwork
As an, no, the Institute of Archaeology, we pride ourselves not just on our world-tier education, but also our uncovering of an-cient and mo-dern artefacts. In our line of work, we dive into the deepest dungeons and the darkest depths. And we emerge with priceless pieces of ancient artefacts. Many of our pieces can be found in the collections of famous benefactors of arts, including King Emyr II.
One of our most recent archaeological adventures occurred in the Altepemilli Jungle. There, we recovered the ancient Qurimanta Axolotl, roughly translating to "Gold Fish." Like any good archaeological fieldwork, we were apprehended by the ancient Axólotl Tribe. We beat them in glorious combat and took their infamous chieftain Tlahtoanime Miquiztli captive. For soooome reason, the Confederacy did not let us keep the savage*, but we still made away like bandits with the Gold Fish.
Words from the Students
"I loved having my pants set on fire!"
"I've always asked the Gods for riches, but I learnt the Gods don't work that way. So I permanently borrowed a few relics and asked for forgiveness."
"It is so interesting learning how different cultures treat tomb raiders."
"It was simply magnificent being educated on the exact rationality of how we, the Mensen people, are natural erudites and unflagging, it is due to our persistence presiding on a mountain!"†
* Tlahtoanime Miquiztli is the Head Councilor of the Altepemilli Confederacy.
† Environmental Determinism is an outdated (by modern standards) theory that explains the differences in technology and cultural attitudes is based almost entirely on where the culture developed. Environmental Determinism was used to push ideas of European supremacy and of "lazy" indigeneous peoples.

The Kingdom of Whitemouth
King Emyr the Second's Daughter was a joy to teach, especially with all of that extra funding we recieved!
The Altepemilli Confederacy
