Elementalis

Elementalis are great elemental beings, whose body is woven into the earth of Fyrra. Elementalis possess a great Will that is often linked to even greater elemental powers. While their Will is indeed great, their desires are very simple: Elementalis want to live in peace and happiness with the world surrounding them. Consequently, they tend to be very territorial beings, who are often suspicious of humans and other beings that might disturb the eternal flow of Will of the world.  

Territoriality

  Elementalis are very protective of the surroundings which they consider their territory. Since Elementalis cannot move, they defend themselves and their territory through the use of their elemental powers. Many natural disasters are actually caused by an Elemantalis wanting to defend their territory. Even though Elementalis are very territorial, they allow humans and other beings to pass through or live in their territory when they deem them to be respectful or at least not dangerous. Sometimes, the Elementalis even communicates and helps the local people to defend themselves.  

Connection to humanity

  Elementalis seem to have a basic understanding of humans and the functioning of the world in general. They communicate in visions and by manipulating their environment with their elemental powers. Elementalis can even give some of their elemental cores to humans.   Due to their great elemental powers, some cultures think the Elemetalis of their region is a God and worship them accordingly. Some of these cultures share the Elementalis’s desire to protect the integrity of the territory. Other cultures have developed rituals to subdue the Will of the Elementalis in order to avoid its anger and potential natural disasters.  

Classifcation

  Elementalis are very rare creatures that live deep inside the earth of Fyrra. Consequently, they have never been officially ‘discovered’ as a species by any scientist. While single instances of Elementalis and their territory have been researched, no-one has ever made the link between these different researches.   Elementalis have great Will that can only be manipulated by a combination of Wills through rituals. Elementalis can give and receive elemental cores from humans. Since their lives are eternal, it is impossible to kill an Elementalis and obtain their elemental cores.
