Artifacts

The Farsight Stone A mystical gemstone set within a dark metal pendant, the The Farsight Stone is believed to grant the wearer brief visions of possible futures or hidden truths. According to legend, the amulet was first given to Priestess Echa Choll, who used it to uncover a plot against Ayonore’s ancient kings. The amulet’s power can only be activated by one with an open mind and pure heart, and those who misuse it are said to be cursed with haunting, indecipherable visions.   The Book of Unseen Paths Said to contain passages that shift and change with every reader, the Book of Unseen Paths is a living text that reveals only the knowledge needed in a particular moment. Many pages remain blank until they are read by a seeker with true intent. Myth claims the book was written by the Seer’s own hand in an attempt to impart wisdom to mortals. However, only fragments of its wisdom are revealed to each reader, ensuring that no one person holds complete knowledge.   The Blind Eye This ancient scrying glass is a rare artifact used to look beyond the mortal plane and into the spiritual realm. Legends say it allows the user to see past events or distant locations, and it was often used by the earliest oracles to foresee impending disasters. It is said, however, that prolonged use of the Eye can draw the user too far into the shadowy realms, leading them to become “lost between worlds” and permanently severed from the material realm.

Holy Books & Codes

The Tome of Echoes This revered text is a collection of the Seer’s prophecies and interpretations, recorded over centuries by followers who experienced visions or received divine insights. Each chapter contains parables that teach the value of understanding hidden meanings. Followers of the Seer study the Tome of Echoes extensively, searching for wisdom that can guide them through personal or communal struggles.   The Hije Scrolls Written in a language said to be gifted by the Seer, these scrolls contain passages that are difficult to decipher, revealing their meanings only to those prepared to understand them. The Hije Scrolls serve as guides to followers seeking deeper spiritual understanding. Each scroll is kept in a protective case and treated as a relic, with only high-ranking priests allowed to unseal them.   The Seer's Doctrine The Seer's Doctrine serves as a code of conduct for followers of the Shrouded Seer, emphasizing the importance of patience, humility, and contemplation. The Doctrine instructs followers to respect secrets and avoid hasty conclusions. Rather than impose hard rules, the Veiled Doctrine is structured around meditative questions that guide followers through their own paths of understanding.

Tenets of Faith

Seek the Truth Beneath the Surface: Followers are encouraged to look beyond appearances and search for deeper meanings in life. Whether through meditation, study, or reflection, they believe that answers lie hidden and must be carefully unearthed.   Honor the Mystery: Not all truths are meant to be known, and followers of the Seer are taught to respect the unknown. This tenet reminds them to approach mysteries with humility, recognizing that some wisdom may be beyond mortal understanding.   Pursue Knowledge with Patience: The Seer’s followers value patience in the pursuit of wisdom, understanding that true insight often requires time and reflection. They are urged to resist the urge for quick answers, embracing the process of discovery as part of their journey.   Guard Against Arrogance: Those who seek wisdom must beware of pride. The Seer teaches that arrogance blinds one to the truth and that wisdom is best served with humility. Followers are instructed to be vigilant against the allure of self-importance, remaining open to guidance.   Embrace the Shadows: The path of the Seer is one of both light and shadow. Followers are encouraged to understand their own fears and flaws, accepting that darkness is as much a part of them as light. This tenet is often symbolized by the act of meditating in shadowed rooms, where followers reflect on the interplay of darkness and understanding.
