2 consuls. Directly elected by the citizen. Often elected from the Senate members. Every year, the Senate can call a vote to depose both.

The Consulate names a governor for each province where they hold imperium except if a consul is present.
Benefits
Once elected, they have near unchecked executive power (Imperium). Only the other consul can veto. Can't be prosecuted for any action made during mandate.
