Blooded Branch Orcs

The blood branch orcs are a large orcish clan northeast of Gand and north of Rakside/ The Rakes' Hide the closest major city. The area they live in is known for its fertile land and wealth of ironwood trees which bleed a bright red sap when cut. These trees are where the Blooded Branch get their name from. This sap can be collected and distilled into a potent, sticky resin which is the clans most abumdent and most profitable resource. The ocrs also a trade in Muckbark and muckbark tincture as there is a surplus in ashenwood trees sorrounding the area.   The Blooded branch clan is also somewhat notorious for going to battle with the Swift River clan some two or so decades ago. The conflict which occurred over a territory dispute would see the Blooded Branch victorious but not without the loss of their Asper. Their Asper, an adolescent of the time was under high demand to 'split' the wounds of the orcish warriors the Asper of young and already frail disposition was not able to keep up with the toll of so many injuries. They contracted an infection of died shortly before the clan was victorious. This was the inciting event which caused Morturn to leave on his own.   As this clan is north towards the colder more mountainous climate, the orcs here are born with a deeper green colouration than their counterparts in the south and west.
