The Lorewinds

It is said that the first mages had the secrets of their crafts whispered to them by the winds themselves.
  Not all magicians could hear every wind, and other winds made their decisions on who to impart knowledge with great deliberation. Others still simply were to quiet to hear unless sought after.
  Now, the old myth is still used as a useful tool in the representation of the modern model for magic.
  There are many different winds, each with their own place of expertise as well as places of overlap. The Red wind, Savret, is the magic of fire , as well as other destructive and energetic forces.
