Yarrowl

Florabeasts are generally at least as intelligent as the animals they derive their forms from (though there are exceptions), and some more so. Others go above and beyond, as though they chose to study at a prestigious university instead of simply learning their basic skills in their community school.

The Yarrowl is an exceedingly wise creature, renowned for its ability to essentially practice medicine. If presented with a person who is suffering from nearly any kind of ailment, they will spend a few moments poking them with their stem-like beaks, or rubbing their fine feathery leaves over their hands and face. Then, if given a selection of herbs or aromatic medicines, the Yarrowl will point out which would be most efficacious for a cure. If none are suitable, they will fly off and search the surrounding area for a plant that will suffice. This talent makes them the prize of doctors and physicians everywhere.

Like a badge of office, every Yarrowl has a dark patch of leaves over its left eye, which does nothing to impede its vision.
