Wolfwood

Flower Pack Florabeast

Wolves have long been both feared and revered by peoples across the world and across history. Some cultures honor them for their wisdom and hunting prowess, while others consider them pests to be driven away whenever possible. This dichotomy is not an issue for the Wolfwood, as people everywhere praise their power and usefulness.

Standing slightly taller than most dogs, this Florabeast's trunk is covered with an abundance of gorgeous blooms, ranging in colors from pink, to white, to red. Their legs are made from a very hard wood, which grants them powerful strides when alive, and a unique legacy upon their expiry.
Wolfwood wood is prized by artisans and carvers for its durability and strength, but because they do not grow nearly as tall as the tree they derive from, only tool handles and small items can be made with it. Nevertheless, anything carved from this beasts remains will be an heirloom for generations to come.

These Florabeasts inherit their tendency to organize in packs from their animals, and as such planters find it easier to manage more than one of them at a time, without the usual mental strain of having many Florabeasts at once.

Name Explanation
The common name of the cornel tree is dogwood, and wolves are related to dogs. The pun really comes with the scientific names, as "cornus canis" go well together. It may also have been influenced by a certain gunslinging priest...
