Snap-dragon
Deceptively Fierce Florabeast
Snap-dragon are fussy, prideful Florabeasts, but hardly ever willful. They are lizardlike in form, having a long thin tail, four legs for locomotion, in addition to a pair of silky wings that convey them quite well in the air. Due to their relatively high body weight, they are more accomplished gliders than standing fliers.
Their distinguishing characteristic is the hood of petals surrounding their neck and throat, these open wide in synchrony with their mouths. The petals come in a wide panoply of colors; pink, white, red, yellow, orange, purple, and so on. The colors of the petals sometimes match the rest of their skin, and sometimes not.
Snap-dragon are well suited for children or for home pets. Their small size makes them adept at catching mice or other pests. That same size also makes them less ideal for a Guardiners, though some have been taught to expel pollen at an opponent for defense.
