Pityvern

Grown predominantly in the southern regions of the New World, the Pityvern is a majestic Florabeast that can strike fear or awe into those beholding it, as appropriate. Standing at least as tall as a fully-grown man, the Pityvern’s wingspan is tremendous, allowing it highly capable flight at nearly any altitude. While commonly identified by its bright red or pink skin, some varieties exist that are red as blood or even yellow. The interior of each variety is slightly different as well, ranging from white flesh with black seedlets to red on red or black on yellow.

Their ability to fly is arguably their greatest asset, and because of their size they can easily accommodate a rider, sometimes even two, not to mention other cargo. They have also been known to expel a sickeningly sweet vapor from their mouths.
