Pearakeet

Heavy Fruit Florabeast

Many people plant Florabeasts to put them to work, but just as many plant them for a loyal and steadfast companion. Most philosophers agree that tending to plants is beneficial to overall health, and tending to a pet animal even more so. Florabeasts accomplish both goals at once, especially with the humble Pearakeet.

One of the most popularly-grown beasts of the modern era, these avian plants are easy to care for throughout their lives. They come in a range of colors including green, pale yellow, brown and red, but all have the same distinctive shape; a narrow neck and beak and a wide, round lower body.

Their piriform nature makes them somewhat unwieldy fliers, only able to reach the tops of trees and platforms, and not cross long distances. One planter famous on the competitive sporting scene has gained renown for teaching their Pearakeet to fly over their opponent and drop suddenly, using their girth to their advantage.

Name Explanation
The budgerigar is also known as the common parakeet. It's pronounced the same as the name of this Florabeast, so only an 'e' was added to make the connection to the fruit.
