Peachtridge

Glittering Feather Florabeast

As plants, Florabeasts are no stranger to the dirt and the soil, though some seem to want to distance themselves from that sphere as much as possible. The Peachtridge is a small creature covered with a soft fuzz, and colored in bright, intense hues. Patterns on the outside of its body resemble feathers, but its wings are just stubby masses of fruit flesh, meaning they can only really glide between destinations.

These patterns are their pride and joy, however, and come in a wide variety of colors other than just the typical orange-red of a peach. Many also shine and sparkle in the sun, a quality that this beast will protect at all costs.

Any amount of dirt that they accumulate while while rooting needs to be preened away and washed off every morning, even if their planter has urgent business to attend to somewhere. Most who choose a Peachtridge for their own learn quickly to help it along so they can continue with their day.

Name Explanation
The first "par-" syllable of the animal name doesn't really match with "peach" except for the first letter. The connection came more from the Asian origin and the bright colors of both fruit and bird.
