Pamplemouse

Bracing Gatherer Florabeast

An endlessly inquisitive Florabeast, Pamplemouses love to explore every nook and cranny that they can fit themselves into, and because they can fit in the palm of a man's hand, they can get into many different spaces. Originally discovered in the tropics of Columbia, they are covered in a thick rind that protects them from many hazards, while simultaneously allowing them to secrete a sweet-smelling acid that can be used in a variety of applications by Guardiners. This acid will also wear away the ropes and cords that they use to get around barns and attics, so control of their habitats is needed. Fortunately the sour smell that they give off when rooting is enough indication that a Purrsnip or cat are needed.

Name Explanation
The French name for grapefruit is pamplemousse, so take out one "s" and you have the name of this Florabeast. The author also has a friend who had a pet rat named Pamplemouse.
