Lavendeer
Fragrant Grazer Florabeast
Most animals that serve as prey in the ecosystem are skilled at stealth and avoiding detection by their predators. Florabeasts have no natural predators, and thusly the Lavendeer is quite poor at avoiding detection. Not only are they covered in bright purple flowers, but their distinctive fragrance is so strong they can be detected from quite the distance.
The smell of Lavendeer has been a part of traditional medicine for generations, and many plant and keep them for the smell alone. Unlike the lavender herb, any flowers removed from the hide or horns of the Florabeast quickly lose their potency, so farming of the creature is not done.
Lavendeer are a popular choice among Guardiners not only for their beauty, but also for their ability to augment their fragrance rapidly and prance about to spread the pollen in a form of defense.
