Hollyhawk

Crowned Hunter Florabeast

Hawks are straightforward, to-the-point creatures. They exhibit great focus, and their Florabeast counterparts are no different. Hollyhawks are prized by Guardiners for their sharp talons and their sharper leaf-feathers which cover their bodies. Many birdlike Florabeasts perch on their planter’s shoulders or gloved arms, but not so with this particular variety. Not unless the planter enjoys being subjected to constant prickling. In addition to their high flying speed and grace, Hollyhawk can also fling small clusters of their leaves as offensive projectiles.

These qualities make Hollyhawk highly valuable to many different professions, not just Guardiners, not only for aerial defense but for long-distance message delivery. They can navigate complex terrain and changing scenarios easily.

Name Explanation
The names of the plant and the animal start with the same letter. There is a flower called the hollyhock, which is pronounced the same, but this Florabeast isn't based on it. The title Crowned Hunter is a reference to the Christmas carol The Holly & the Ivy.
