Apricoot
Pit Head Florabeast
These Florabeasts love the water, so Apricoots on a lake are a common sight all across the world. They are easy to spot, also, with their bright orange bodies. Their feet are unlike other birds, with large fleshy lobes in a bright green color, though they are harder to see since they spend so much time swimming and floating. Most of their bodies are soft, with a very fine fuzz, while their foreheads and beaks are made from a hard, woody material that proves useful for defense or clearing away debris.
While not exceptionally strong, Apricoots prove their usefulness to planters who live on or near the water through their skill at swimming and diving. Many planters employ them to search rivers and lakes for lost or sunken items, or just to catch a few fish for a lakeside campfire.
These Florabeasts inherit their tendency to flock together from their animals, and as such planters find it easier to manage more than one of them at a time, without the usual mental strain of having many Florabeasts at once.
