Ratfolk Warrens

The main entrance to the ratfolk warrens is at Bradford hill, only 50 feet above the water table. The Bradford hill entrance is barely tall enough to allow humans and elves to comfortably enter to pick up and deliver goods. The maze of caves and tunnels are primarily marked with grooves in the stone walls and floor.

Mumbee ratfolk have tunnel exits at strategic locations to avoid too much time in wide-open spaces. None are as tall or open as the Bradford hill entrance. The ratfolk traverse complicated subterranean routes by a combination of memorization, signs cut into the stone, and smells associated with different paths. Newly arrived ratfolk usually spend a few weeks sorting out a personal routine.

Group sleeping chambers are plush and cozy with low ceilings. Each has a grooming chamber as an entry where a few attendants are always ready to help with washing and brushing and bench lockers line one of the walls.

Sleeping chambers are used in shifts so no one is ever sleeping alone, no matter the time of day.
