Basic Information
Anatomy
The huge, luminous eyes of the Carbunkle can be mistaken for lantern light at far distances while patrolling their territory. Carbunkles have a pouch on their underbelly where they carry newborns and smooth semi-precious stones.
Growth Rate & Stages
Carbunkles have litters of 3-4 kits, usually born tiny and hairless with closed eyes, in the early autumn. A Carbunkle is generally old at 20 years and venerable at 30 years.
Dietary Needs and Habits
While primarily carnivorous, a Carbunkle has a strong digestive system and is unlikely to suffer ill effects from even the most poisonous plants native to the Crone's Forest. Carbunkles catch small rodents, birds, large insects, and the occasional goblin.
