Khaskal Beach Village

SPERM:

Social: Khaskal is a humble place filled with sailors, primarily. They are on the coast of the continent, so feel much safer than most. They are made up of a mix of Tortles, Merfolk, Elves, Humans, and Halflings.   Political: Khaskal is humble and more democratic than other places. They have a town mayor, but mostly it's just a title, as everyone pulls their weight however they can there.   Economic: Trading is more or less the lifeblood in small places like this. Sure, they can buy and sell, but only to a certain extent. However, their talks with a Merfolk city beneath the waves means they might have a boom in economy soon.   Religious: A statue to Niros, the Goddess of Water and Flowing can be seen on the edge of the beach. She is depicted as a tall human woman with gills who holds an octopi outwards that is meant to drop water from when it rains. At her feet are several bowls of fresh water placed around her, along with some fruits, shells, and the occasional necklace or copper.   Military: Really, there are some Algorathian guards, but the ones who get the gig here are considered extremely lucky. It is rather laid back, all things considered.

Places:

Hollow Shell: Run by a Female Elf named Amaria Taskella, the Hollow Shell is carved out of a large shell belonging to an ancient crab. The inside is a light blue, with coral decorations aligning the wall, and is known to have specialty drinks like ink vodka, as well as sponge milk.     Bathing Turtle Inn: Created from carved out light blue stone, the bathing turtle in is run by a tortal named Green Alright. Water beds are what are offered, which is sea water that has been purified, and bound with a tight leather. The Inn itself also offers a ladder to go straight into a sectioned off area of the ocean designed for more casual swimming.   Ride Wave General: A run down shop which a Merfolk female named Siren keeps somewhat track on. She's extremely crabby, but her husband, a human named Niromal does most of the talking.

  People:

Zorus: (Merfolk, bright blue skin, large belly, wears golden bands and necklaces, Jamaican accent)   A humble fruit vendor that enjoys talking to customers, and cheering their day up. He does enjoy gold quite a bit, though, and is very in favor of haggling. His father taught him how to barter, and noticed that he was able to sell what he wanted. Though, he ended up getting a love for fruit in particular. He moved away to a relaxing place to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city, and to sell his fruit.   Goren Elgand: (Merfolk, purple/blue sin, dressed in simple blue robes, has a bad eye, speaks like a soft old man)   The tender to the statue of Niros in the city. He joined the ranks of Niros after his mother, another priest, passed away while in service to her. She taught him everything he know. However, he was cursed to turn into a wraith if he were to go too far from a statue of Niros. As such, he is bound to her protection until the waves take him.   Green Alright: (Tortle, deep emerald green skin, with a shell that has numerous scars on his back. Speaks slowly and methodically, as well as relaxed)   A tortle which is in charge of the Bathing Turtle Inn. He used to be a barbarian adventurer (Level 10), but retired after his party felled a storm Giant Tyrant named "Galther The Cloud Brigand". He keeps Galther's hammer as a trophy in his back room. Green wishes to live a peaceful life until he dies, and keeps in touch with his other adventuring friends.   Amaria Taskella: (Elven Woman, tribal markings on her hands have been burnt off, snowy white hair, silver eyes, extremely pale, smells like sweet black snow berries. Very petite accent, as well as proper)   An Elven woman who was originally part of her parent's berry farm in the Sable mountains, as part of a small village of snow Elves. One day, however, she claimed that she could use snow magic, which disturbed the superstitious village. They described the "snow snapper" as a ghost that would possess a child once every 100 years to destroy the village, as it had been destroyed by a prior child 100 years ago, which they had to put down. She ultimately wishes to return to her village, but has come to terms with the realization that she needs to be rid of her magics first, which she is deciding on.
