Special Equipment. Vargan Bularbin wears a special armor (Shining armor of the knight) and has a special broadsword (Broadsword of Parakolt), the effect of which are factored into his stats already. In addition he carries the following potions: 4 potions of superior healing, 2 potions of heroism, 1 potion of resistance - fire, 1 potion of resistance - lightning, 1 potion of resistance - cold, 1 potion of growth. Precise cuts. Whenever Vargan Bularbin makes a melee weapon attack against a creature that would deal slashing damage, a roll of 18 or 19 count as critical hits as well as a 20.
Multiattack. Vargan Bularbin makes three melee attacks. Broadsword. Melee Weapon attack, +10 1d20+10 to hit, reach 5 ft. Hit: 1d10 + 6 slashing damage. Power of Parakolt (Charge 4-6). Vargan Bularbin slams his sword into the ground causing a point on the ground within 90 ft. to erupt. Any creature within 20 ft. of that point must succeed on a DC 16 strength saving throw or take 9d6 bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. Creatures suceeding on the save take half damage and are not knocked prone.
Shining Armor. When Vargan Bularbin is hit by a melee attack he can retaliate by activating his armor. The creature that hit him must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn. Divert Projectile. Vargan Bularbin gives +5 AC to himself or any creature within 5 ft. of him against one ranged attack made against that creature (before or after the attack roll is made).
