Also recognized as Pre-Contact Societies or Tethered Societies, this time period marks a time period early in the Post-Upheaval world marked by peoples coalescing into smaller tribes and associations. These societies were heavily driven by the most extreme effects of Gravitational Scarcity.

An early period of the Post-Upheaval world characterized by peoples coalescing into smaller tribes and associations, whether by friendly cooperation or by conquest. The period saw a rapid decline in learning and significant internal strife, but ultimately fostered the growth of some of the new world's first nascent societies.   Due to varying rates of contact in then Post Itinerantur world, some societies persisted longer in a pre-contact state.
