The Conflict
Prelude
Desert Bloom
All the people living around the desert have been engaged in a generations-long military struggle with each other. The interlopers' unexpected invasion was assisted by zipa Saguamanchica to subdue his rivals. Years later, zipa Nemequene conspired to evict the Innoit and rule over the Quadrant in its entirety unchallenged.Deployment
Desert Bloom
Decades can pass before a slow drenching rain seeps into the soil and 200 types of wildflowers sprout all at once and attract swarms of bees from Giantsfall. The wasp-bees’ venom is harmless to those long exposed to Sumag Wagta Ch'in, but fatal to outsiders, who lacked the ancestral resistance passed down in the Honey People’s blood. From this realization, a plan was born dependent on traps, timing and toxins.Battlefield
Urban
It was the Honey People's quaint habit of decorating their homes and public places with these rare flowers, was the screen that delayed suspicion. Some soliders even bartered with the locals so they could beautify their barracks; thus bringing the attract closer to the home. The streets, alleys and paths to barrack perimeters were littered with fresh flowers and incense; making for a distinct lack of overt violence to start the fighting.Conditions
Sun-Bleached
Winds in the Kamachina Savanna carried the flowers' scent far and wide. Many nests of bees announced themselves in a buzzing cloud. The occupiers, unaccustomed to the arid air and unaware of the distant ecology, succumbed to venom-induced pain for the local to quickly take advantage; many whom died. The Engagement
Surreal Attack
Once disoriented, cilivians drew hidden weapons from hidden places and target the most senior officers and destroyed signaling devices - an uprising. Routes were blocked, lone outposts burned and small patrols killed. Actions like this lasted under an hour in most places, but the proper forts held out for days.Outcome
Surrender
Eventually, the bees were sated and the picked flowers died; along with the momentum. However, the innoit were much diminished and cutoff from any possibly of reinforcements or resupply. The respective leaders on both sides agreed that the innoit armywould give up their weapons and armour in exchange for being peacefully excorted out of the Valley of Palaces.
