Tracking the Synchronic Lines
Camay-enhanced strings, are used by spiritual specialists to trace and interpret synchronic lines. The string responds to energetic nodes by tightening, coiling or subtly vibrating when stretched across terrain under certain line characteristics. Notable features are marked with symbolic pendants and intervals of knots akin to the quipu recording system.Manufacturing process
Weaving
- Fiber is cleaned and teased apart using combs made from spines, reeds or bones to be loosened into workable fluff
- Carded wool is converted into fine thread
- A high twist is added from a basket of plant fiber to produce a single ply, long yarn, that is continuously fed
- The single thread can be plied (twisted with another) to form a 2-ply or 3-ply cord for added durability
- The cord can be left as-is, or be further braided using a 3-strand or 4-strand method
- It is then wound around a wooden rod or into a coil and kept supple in animal fat or vegetable oils
