Session 076: Breaking the Ice

Teleport to VQ   Sending to Sir Kerria, back at the palace diverted demonic shenanigans all good   Mohr pops into Ilvian temple: thanks.   Mohr asks permission to seek shelter here when in trouble from not-the-law.   Casts recall. Gets a sense of wrong house from the Winter deity. Does it again at a temple to the Winter deity.   Swing by market and pick up winter Fits. Shake down the vendor who sold the false sending stones.   Swing by Edwyna and Clara's house. Edwyna says if they're ever back in town and need some... Seamstressing... to let her know. Clara is gifted a stick by Aphid.   Mohr scries on Semir, standing guard outside a door below deck. Semir is talking with Sasha and says he isn't sure if Mohr could ever change.   Followed by a Charisma Camp. Approaching with an air of curiosity. Listen, don't disregard. Unless he's wrong. Then you can tell him he's wrong.   Mohr lore time - asked brother to come with her, considers him weak, wanted to use her skills more widely than simply Ostrovy.   Over to the Primrose Palace, Talasea spends some time with Other Worlds and the group speaks with Sir Kerria one last time. She looks a bit haggard and explains what occurred with the demons. Someone took advantage of Sir Kerria's absence to summon some major demons. Sir Kerria focused on taking down Wrath, while her allies took on the rest. Pettiness and Jealousy and Avarice were all there. Sir Kerria shows them a portrait of the previous champions, the Lullaby Quartet. She notes that the Winter champion, Vanya the Jagged, is now a senior professor at the University. The Summer champion, Lia the Inflamed, and the Spring champion, Kauma the Cheerful, were both human, and so are long gone at this point. The Autumn champion, Brizenor the Ardent, was a harengon. Lia, Kauma, and Brizenor all disappeared around the same time, or perhaps Sir Kerria just stopped hearing about them at the same time.   It is noticed that Bri the jackalope familiar has some crossover with Brizenor the harengon champion. Jack speaks to Bri.     The party heads for the Icebreaker, settling in for the evening on a relatively empty ship. Talasea Sends to Temperance for the evening, first to gossip about Sasha, then to hear more of their story. When Swallow returns, they spend time catching up on deck. They too eventually find their rest.   The morning dawns on the 24th of the Night. The ship is prepped and sets sail, the wind coaxing it out of Cloverbough Bay.   The bosun meets with the group to determine what skills they have. The folks who don't have magical skills to help speed along the journey are paired with crewmates to help with their duties and show them the ropes. Aphid can cast Control Water; Jack can summon a Wind Elemental, Verity has the Charm of the Windspeaker to allow him to cast Gust of Wind, Tal summons Pearl to guard the ship from the water.   With this strange arcane array of additions, the journey to the Winter Kingdom begins.
