Session 075: a Cold Wind in Summer

Session 75
we start in Felimandoo in the Turner house
jack in disguise (with mouse aphid) goes to Kane, they talk abt his deal w Avarice & how it is a leash. Usually Avarice is very consistent n predicatable in his deals w the Raywalkers, however Jack is the wild card & a huge variable. Kane says he will talk to Avarice if he needs to find Jack.
meanwhile tal sends to Samir, saying he hopes we still can be friends and Samir is like, fuck i shouldnt have been surpised that Mohr reacted like that. tal also sends to Empress, asking if she knew she gave Sasha a lightning scar. she said "Who? I dont remember giving anyone any magical scars". Temperance tells more of their story.
Zenith n Verity hang out on the rood, Zenith teaches him some magic. Verity's magic all crackling, like Moa's and Onoana's.
aphid tells the group abt the whole Kane-Jack interaction
in the night Tal comes to tell Jack and Thomas that he can make their dreams come true and they have a cute date w each other every night as long as Tal has a 5th level spell slot.
Turner house is watched but we dont do anything about it except just kinda noting down (we also knew they are watching the house anyway so)
23rd of the Night!
We go to the Ember Towers, and before that Tal told everyone about his flirtationship with Sasha during the breakfast. Noone really commented
we get a bunch of materials for the teleportation circle spell
tal is investigating the library and asking epople about the grea lullaby and the prophecy, and a librarian tells him the info is all hush hush cause we need to Experience It At Our Own Time
tal reads abt the song of the ages - one part we learn is that you need something from each of the four kindgoms to cast it. so naturally tal goes out and gets some pebbles from Felimandoo
in the library verity talks to mohr telepathically, and makes a deal with her - he announces that mohr does not wish to discuss the business with her brother
talasea, who has been pointdely ignoring mohr and looking very upset since the interaciton, not jumps but leaps at this moment to confront mohr abuot his feelings (and hers). the core of the issue is that tal sees too much of themself in samir and realises how much it hurts that mohr would prefer to never share anything about her own life and how much tal wants to be that part of her life. they are however a bit petty and passive agrresive about it . it ends rather well.
tal asks for a volokin teleportation circle but they say no sorry.
