Kitsune
Hatori’s target was here. He had been here for a few days, and likely isn’t going anywhere else soon. The perfect moment to strike was at 11:50, just before the guard change was about to occur. He had been paid to hunt down and assassinate the Lord of Honeydale. The time was rapidly approaching. He had done this countless times before, this time would be no different. His entire route was planned out in advance, with traps ready to go off to delay anyone who may try to follow him. The door to the Lord’s room opened with a faint shuffle, and suddenly the Lord screamed before being cut off abruptly. The guards leaped to attention but it was too late. The lord was dead already, but maybe they grab the murderer and put them on trial. They followed, only to be caught up in traps, pit falls, caltrops, snare traps all set up to prevent them from catching the lord’s murderer. Hatori was successful, he had managed to slay his target and hadn’t even come close to getting caught. He quickly returned to a meeting point to confirm that he had accomplished his task and received the remaining pay.Kitsune are the unknown and foreign fox people of the continents. While their origins are mysterious to the other races, they did seem to originate from the Western Continent of Dutraexus.
Remote and Hidden Villages
Kitsune hide out in remote villages deep in the wilderness. They use the terrain to their advantage, making sure they know every inch and prevent anyone from sneaking up on them. A village in the cliffs of a mountainside will have only one entrance, and they’ll have thousands of clappers to not only scare off pests that might eat their crops, but also used as traps, ways to detect when someone is approaching their village.Crafty
The shinobi clans of the Kitsune are all incredibly crafty, utilizing just about anything they can get their hands on to complete their mission. The kitsune villages are often very poor, and don’t have much in the way of coin to afford well made or high quality tools. Because of this, kitsune will often use farming equipment, their own bodies, or even things they can find right on their own doorstep to their advantage. Despite their lack of money, kitsune clans are experts in chemistry and engineering specialized weapons, and are generally farther ahead than most of the civilized world.Masters of Disguise and Survival
Kitsune can blend practically seamlessly into the cities of other countries. They are capable of fitting in just about anywhere, and are capable of surviving in nearly any conditions. A shinobi’s focus is to survive first, complete the mission second. If they die or get captured, an entire lifetime of training could be wasted in an instant, so they need to be able to avoid dying or getting caught up in trouble.Basic Information
