Arctiport (Ark-ti-port)
Demographics
Most of the small town population is human, with a few various people here or there of different races. Most people who live here as permanent residents are fishermen or people who help ensure they can do their job.
Government
The village has an elected Mayor every 5 years. The government takes care of things such as protection, hiring the people who run the day to day infrastructure (such as the dockmaster), planning buildings and events. The village is mostly self governed, but falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Nitsoba.
Defences
The town has a small guard with a mix of Nitsoban soldiers and citizens from the village. The captain of the guard responds to the Mayor, but is in charge of the village during fights.
Industry & Trade
The villages biggest trade is the fish it catches, which are then sold to merchants who take it elsewhere. They also buy ice gems and craft iceboxes to store said fish for long distance travel.
Infrastructure
Several docks have been build for fishermen as well as travelers. The village is a major port town, and is the easiest port to access the rest of Nitsoba with.
Several roads and The Marketeering district are built to ensure that travelers and merchants have an easy time doing their business here. The Plaza is also built to house several activities when events and holidays come.

Districts
There are two main districts in the village, the port and the village.
The port is filled with different docks and sizes of boats, most of which are small and large fishing boats. A few of the others are voyaging boats, as they do offer travel between the village and the Subarctic. It smells of fish and rotting wood.
The village is a little farther away, about a 5 minute walk from the port. It is filled with anyone who's not working the fishing job, usually some merchants and craftsman. There are inns all over for anyone who wants to stay in town.
This district also holds the school, a place where children can go for some education. It's still very new, having only been up for a few years, but its considered an important step for the village
The Docks
The docks are one of the two original things from the creation of the village. The docks serve as the lifeblood of the village, with fishermen and merchants using this place to gain access to not just Arctiport but also the rest of the country. The docks are well maintained but the smell of fish will never go away. The sounds of angry sailors and adventurers can always be heard here during the day, but it becomes eerily silent at night. The Dockmaster
The dockmaster is in charge of keeping the docks in line. They hire several employees to keep things running smooth in the docks, and are the highest authority when it comes to the docks (outside of the Mayor). The current dockmaster is Verdant, a merfolk who keeps a tight grip on the goings on in the docks.Old Arctiport
The original part of Arctiport before it became the town it is now. The oldest buildings have all been replaced as they fell apart overtime, so the area no longer looks distinct from the rest of the town. The districts is only kept separate for historical purposes at this point.Temple of the Seas
The Temple of the Seas is a large temple that is used for worship of four gods. While its rarely visited, the locals still keep it nice as they desire protection from the harshness of the seas. The temple largely worships Aria, Cianxeash, Raija, and Typhylius for protection from various threats. The temple however is not exclusive, and offers aid to any who offer their services or prayers to the gods.New Arctiport
The largest district in the village, it appears to be a bit nicer than most of the other areas. Several people live here, and the place has a wide mix of different races, though its still a majority human. This District wraps around the rest of the village, basically being a protective shield against the rest of the world outside of it.This district also holds the school, a place where children can go for some education. It's still very new, having only been up for a few years, but its considered an important step for the village
Saltreach
This area experiences flooding every spring, and as such, several houses are built on stilts to prevent the houses from being flooded. Despite the flooding issue, the houses here are cheap, and a decent place to start living in for newcomers to the city. It's also a great place to gather salt thats washed up from the ocean after the water leaves, hence the name.Glacies
This small district is populated mostly with ice Elves that have decided to live here in Arctiport for a better life. The area has their own little school, temple for worship of Blizzeta, and smaller shops here. The blacksmith in this district is a canis who came here for work, and is the best one in town. A small shop can also be found here that sells little commodities from Arctiport. Despite the obvious separation from the rest of the village, the elves who live here still have warm hearts, and many people enjoy living with them here. They provide a ton of community service for the entire town.Guilds and Factions
The Adventurers guild just arrived in town and is beginning to set up shop, but does not yet exist.
History
The village initially started as some guy (an ice elf) who began a travelling business to and from the Subarctic. Over time some people began wanting a place to stay, so he built an inn. Then he hired some people to help run that inn when he was away. Then more people came, and slowly over time until it became a recognized village.
Geography
The area is largely flat, and there isn't really a beach. There's a small cliff that acts like a port, which over time was expanded into a full dock.
Climate
Tempuratures in the area remain relatively cool, with highs of 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit (10-15 C) in the summer
