A loud and opinionated Commandant of the Red Plume Guard and officer in the Hillsfarian military became a unifying figure for a fractious group of allies. Despite being exiled from politics for opposing xenophobic policies, he successfully constructed defenses at Yûlash, and with the support of the military and resistance, facilitated the assassination of the First Lord, assumed power as the new First Lord of Hillsfar, and abolished the Great Law of Humanity and the enslavement of nonhumans in the arena.
