Frostwind Virago
Frostwind viragos are embodiments of the unforgiving and indiscriminately cruel heart of deep winter. Their blood is imbued with the essence of bitter winter, freezing to the touch and thick like molasses. They can summon elemental energy to freeze and destroy flesh.
Frostwind viragos are always female. They have smooth, attractive features, pale skin, glossy blue eyes lacking any hint of white, and hair that is blonde to stark white.
Heartless Hunters. Frostwind viragos desire nothing less than the domination of the world by ice. From their homes in the frozen wilderness, these fey act as lone and heartless agents of winter, hunting wanderers and ill-fated locals, remorselessly toying with their prey. They despise intelligent warm-blooded creatures that use their cleverness to avoid the freezing grasp of the cold months. In spite of this, they can be swayed by an offer of humble tribute from a victim. They can be reasoned with and see the value of working toward a common cause. Frostwind viragos sometimes ally with frost giants, who respect the fey as mighty spirits of winter and value their counsel.
Ice Queens. Some of these fey set themselves up as monarchs in snow-covered lands. Within these malign courts, frostwind viragos scheme to control other lands. Their subjects carry out complex plots of destruction and misfortune constructed to show the implacable nature of the cold season.
A frostwind virago is devoid of love, but she can experience desire, taking a humanoid as lover in such cases. Such a relationship is short and stormy, resulting in a frostwind virago child.
