2025-10-16 Longest Night of the Year

Our ambush of the Poisoned Talons led to a long, hard battle, but one in which we were ultimately triumphant. We searched the bodies to find 140 gp, and collected a greatsword, a greataxe, and a maul.

We cleaned up the campsite, disposing of bodies and turning earth over on bloodied ground. After a meal of flame-roasted boar, we set a schedule of watches and settled down to sleep. In the second watch, everyone was awakened by a shout from Ghesh aimed at two random men, apparently human, wandering past in the middle of the night. We sent them on their way, but something seemed off about them. Humans walking a pitch-dark road, not dressed for the weather, carrying no packs or travel gear. Ghesh called them out because they had stopped on the trail when they saw the sleeping party, and had begun moving towards the camp. Ovak's familiar followed them for a ways, but learned nothing. Unsettled but in need of rest, we returned to sleep on Ghesh's watch.
